The amount of volatile matter in Petroleum coke has little impact on the quality of carbon products, but has an impact on the burning operation. It is difficult to use Rotary kiln or tank furnace with general structure for burning Petroleum coke with high volatile matter. The burning equipment needs to be modified to meet the needs of burning Petroleum coke with high volatile matter.
